I recently traded into this, because I had to see what Medford was all about. I must say, I am impressed. As overbuilt, hard-use folders go, this seems to me tough to beat. Unfortunately, I seldom have the occasion to use such a brute of a folder, and it is definitely larger and heavier than I typically EDC. So, now that I have scratched the Medford itch, I thought I might pass it along to someone who will put it to daily use and appreciate it for the indestructible tool that it is.

It is definitely a user, as you can see in the photos, but I am guessing that it has about another 100 years of life left in it. I do not have the case. It has minimal lock stick, but not enough to be a nuisance, IMO. There is zero blade play in any direction and it feels like it would never develop any, either. I believe it was sharpened before I owned it, but if so, it was done well. Bevels appear even to me and it is sharp, but could probably benefit from someone with more sharpening skill than myself, so I will leave that to the next owner. Being D2, I see minor spots of discoloration on the blade, which I believe is to be expected in a high carbon tool steel. I also noticed that the tanto edge has a minuscule roll, that I am sure will sharpen out easily, but I wanted to mention it. I have been impressed with how easily and smoothly this knife opens and closes.

As trades go, I am specifically interested in the following, but feel free to make offers by PM. Light use is fine, as long as they are mechanically sound and not abused. I'm not concerned about minor cosmetics and like knives that are broken in...just not broken. +/- cash depending on the trade. US only, please. Thank you!

Interested in a 95% condition ZT 452 cf? It’s s35vn but never sharpened or disassembled or nothing. I’ll throw in a liteweight Manix 2 user in good condition minus a few scratches on the blade.
