Hello, everyone. I am looking at a medford marauder, but the action of a knife is very important to me. Because it has a groove instead of a thumb stud or flipper, it doesn't look like a fast opener. I have seen videos on praetorians that would flip out nicely, but none on the marauder. Do you know if you can effectively flick open a marauder? Also, how much time does it take to break in a medford knife? I would appreciate any answers or experiences with their knives.

I don't have a marauder yet but but I do have 4 Medfords. They take quite a long time to break in. They do break n super nice and smooth. The marauder has s nice long thumb groove an I'm fairly certain that after afew weeks it would flick nice with some wrist help. If your looking for speed find a viper. That's FAST. I got a tff1 and a fat daddy and after break in they open quick too. You won't regret a Medford.

Thanks, that is very helpful. I was looking at the vipers, but I wish they made a flipper version of the marauder. Sorry it took a while to reply, I've been busy.

Second Viper recommendation. Mine has broken in amazingly and it is the best flipper I've ever used, without the weird feeling of bearings. Uber-tight tolerances, razor edge, tough D2 steel - it is flatout a winner.

I own a few Medfords one happens to be a Marauder. I Remember watching a you tube vide Medford made saying that the praetorian is meant to be a 2 hand opener. I just received my Marider from Plaza cutlery. It is large, almost too large for me to carry as a EDC. I am thinking about getting rid of its
