Medford Praetorian A Review - Picture Heavy

Love the review and pics. Just ordered a ti. I'm a big guy too and I
love big thick blades. I want that feeling of assurance. If the s*** goes
down I don't want my folder to fail in any way! It's a pursuit of perfection I think
Hard to get a great slicer and a tank in the same knife and if I have to choose, I choose the
TANK. U still happy with the ti?

Fellas - The blade spine is.190 I believe.

The tip does appear to protrude in the pictures but it is tucked in just barely. It is very comfortable in the hand (my personal opinion) but that's really a preference thing. I'm all about ridiculously thick blades so this one is right up my alley - that said if overbuilt isn't your thing its just not going to work.

I have since writing this review moved on to the Ti shown below - The build quality Greg has is just unreal, this would surely take a beating forever.

Does the tip protrude on the TI model as well? Was thinking about ordering one but that could be a deal breaker.

It does not protrude at all, I'm not even sure the A was fully closed in those pics but all my other Praetorians have not protruded either.

Since you have had time to play with the Ti for a while, do you honestly feel it's worth the price tag?

I do - there is just nothing else out there like it IMO. Great ergo's, very smooth, put together like a tank, and every time you pull it out you'll even shock yourself with how beastly it is.

Ok I just sold three of my knives just to buy one of these monsters. Now I've just got to decide what finish I'd like. What was the wait time for your Praetorian Ti?

The price is a deal breaker for me. Its too much novelty at that price.

I'm not sure sure I could pick one over a CC SMF if I wanted a beefy folder that's a mid tech. I just don't see myself carrying it, nor being to impressed by its cutting ability as I prefer a lean grind.

But, like everyone else, I appreciate a good review and I am glad you are happy with it. Its not a bad knife, just not a good fit for me.

do they have any grinds that offer decent geometry for cutting? One of my peeves is little tiny (often hollow) grinds on a wide/thick blade.

Looks like you could clean-chop a car in half!
The Ti one looks awesome, yet I don't think it's anything I'd buy.
Good review regardless.

Yeah they told me the same thing. Closer to 24 weeks most likely. I'm dying here. Thanks for the dynamite review. How smooth is it after carrying it for while?
