Mediaeval Sword

Beautifull!
A lot of times swords like these get overdone IMHO.
I like how you kept it sober, clean and just let the materials be beautifull :)

Stuart,

That is a great looking sword. The wrought iron goes very well with the bog oak.

Very cool Stuart I love seeing your work I can only imagine what you might try next keep up the great work.

By far the best looking sword I have ever seen. It is magnificent, excellent job!

I agree.
I like the way your projects are dramatic, yet clean and conservative at the same time.
Great looking sword.

BTW
Since you are not that far away, any chance you will come to the Boise show in October?

I like everything about this sword. From the materials (love the layered look of the guard and handle) to the design (the slight flare beyond the habaki into the blade fits the design perfectly). Agree with you that getting to use 5,000 year old natural handle material is pretty cool too! I am rarely so effusive but this sword really clicks for me.

WoW! That is special! I am amazed how quickly you are progressing! I remember your first post, and I was impressed with that Bowie ( I nominated it for the annual best Bowie)

Always eager to see your work!
