Medium Busse

Has Busse ever made a bayonet? I recently just bought an Ontario M9....shudder....that was my first mass produced knife in awhile.

Scrapyard Regulator bayonet mod was pretty impressive!

That is the work in progress thread! Made me want one so bad!

Hellrazor, Skinny ASH1, SARGE, B6 or B10(long but light), and Sarsquatch are all great knives for their going prices and/or weight and not too hard to find.

The SFNO/NMSFNO are great too, but a little heavier.

My favorite is the Steel Heart Ergo, but only by a small margin and they are more expensive and much harder to find.

The B8 would be perfect I think, assuming it does get released.

I don't have a LBTG but I did have an original Team Gemini and I think the LB release version would be great if you don't mind the guard

That's a SAR8, not the 7. I don't have all of them anymore but I have some new ones too if you want some side-by-side pics

Thanks for the pic! I looked at it before I read the message and was initially choked I had jumped the gun in buying a production bayonet. Considering everything Busse has made I'm surprised there isn't a bayonet already.

Doing some more browsing I think it's between a SFNO, TGLB, or Boss Jack. I don't think I want a SARGE7. A SAR 5/6 would be more what I'm looking for of 3. The SFNO looks the best though.

As others have said, there's quite a large difference between the Boss Jack and the NMSFNO/TG category. The BJ was my first Busse, and I love it, but it didnt really have the all around capabilities I was looking for. NO/TG is classic survival knife territory! Not outrageously choppery, but more than handy enough to get the job done should you need to! See my thread of user TG pics from the other day -- the TG gets through 4 by 6 fence posts pretty easily... If I were a lumberjack I would get a chainsaw or at the very least a felling ax(e), but for my varied and unpredictable purposes I love my TG!

I don't want to sound like I'm drinking the TG kool-aid, IMO it's a fantastic looking blade that does a lot of things quite well and some things very well.... But there's actually quite a few Busses in a similar size category that I'm sure would perform near-identically. As others have mentioned the NO/Sar 8/7 would all be in this category and I'm sure they would all exceed your expectations! In the end a lot of us would have to admit that the final arbiter of which of these fine blades we might choose would be looks and ergos! Sounds superficial but really does matter. If I'm honest I prefered the handle and looks of the TG, but there are many more who would argue the absolute opposite! If I had to choose a second favourite I'd go Sar 7/8!
