Hello All,
This is a scaled down version of the large work knife I posted awhile back. Here's the specs:
Blade and backspring are S30V; blade is hollow ground and satin finished
Shield and liners are 410 stainless -liners mill relieved around pivot and jeweled inside
Handle scales are curly mirandiba (lots of movement in this wood and hard to photograph)
Pivot, shadow washer, and pins are 416 stainless
Overall length is 7 1/8"; 4" closed; blade is 3 1/8" tip to scales
Moderate pull; no half stop; nice snap open and closed

Price is $240.00 shipping in the U.S. included. Paypal OK or can PM for other options. First "I'll take it" does. All comments/questions are welcome. Thanks for lookin! -Phil Tham
This knife is now SOLD. Thanks BF!

Phil, you forgot something in your description: "Hair-poppin Sharp !"
I know this because i have 3 of Phil's Folders and 1 FB.
My first of Phil's Folders was the Large Work Knife he mentions. It is an Awesome knife in ALL regards and i could not be more thrilled to own it. And it is Super Sharp, even now after some stick and rope cutting in the garden.
This "Medium Buster" is The Best $240 Folder you will ever find. I stake my BF reputation on this.
Great looking knife Phil. You are a very skilled knifemaker.

If Roland say's it's ok. then it's Ok an by looking at it, I think it's ok too an would like to own one, an the price is below what it should be.

Thanks for the kind words Joe and Roland. My slipjoint work is getting better, but I'm still in the learning phase. Some of them turn out better than others. I expect to get more consistent with time. That's why I think it's important to offer a refund to anyone who buys one and is not happy with it. You just can't tell if a knife feels right by looking at photos and photos may not show every bump and bruse.
Phil

It's yours mwmccormick...looks like we were posting at the same time. Many thanks!

mwmc. don't let Phil's comments create any doubts in your mind. Like all good knife makers he is humble and his own harshest critic. If you are not totally thrilled, i'll buy it from you for the same price unless my friend Joe Allen also wants it, then he should get first dibs as i already have 3 of Phil's folders.
However i have no doubts that you will be 100% happy that you spoke for it.
I think it likely that Phil does not post a knife here unless it has turned out to be very fine. As i said, i have the bigger Work Knife( 5") and i would not part with it for twice what i paid.

I'm not worried about it. I was enthralled with the design and materials at first sight. I like the fact that it isn't the same old swayback, trapper, etc. How about that mirandiba? Gorgeous freaking wood. And I thought cocobolo was appealing, lol.
