Any ideas here ($85-150) for a gentleman's knife (folder or non)...my wife needs idea for our 10th wedding anniversary. Thanks.

I like the Benchmade 94X series and the Buck Mayo 172. Both are lots of knife in a reasonable carry package made well.

William Henry carbon fiber series, you can probably find a Kestral or a Lancet for around $150.00 bills, the Spearpoint might cost you a little more depending on where you look.

One vote here for a Spyderco Kiwi. A very unique and practical design, the quality, fit and finish is on par with a custom.

A gent's knife? Get a Queen slippie in Cocobolo or Stag from Cumberland Knife Works...should run you about 50$ or so.

I'll second the William Henry CF series. Another one to look at, if you can find one, is the Moki Glory or a similar model. Very nicely made, more traditional style lockback. Outstanding fit and finish.

If you want a slipjoint, try the Lone Wolf City Knife.

The Spyderco Bob Lum is also a good choice if you want a liner lock.

How about an Al Mar (Hawk, etc) ?
I handled a Hawk in black pearl at a local knife shop this weekend and was extremely impressed. Much nicer than the pictures suggest. Bigger than what I expected, yet very slim. Gorgeous MOP.

It comes with a leather pocket sheath, too . . which is a nice way to cary a gent's knife. No worries about keys or change.

I think New Graham has the black pearl Hawk for about $113. So does the Bright Edge - they have good pics here: http://thebrightedge.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=16381&cat=273&page=1
