medium end gentleman's knife

I too am very impressed by the Al Mar Hawk and have come close to buying one on several occasions but the lack of a clip and the fact that it is a lock-back has kept me from sealing the deal. I still say the WH Carbon Fiber series is your best option given the stated price range. If you and your Wife decided to double the limit I'd say get a CRK Mnandi and never look back. It's the quintessential "Gent's" knife. ;) ;)

I forgot about the Al Mar Hawk.
Can anyone post a pic of the Hawk with a WH Lancet and/or CRK Mnandi in both the open and closed positions? Or with any others for comparison?

For $195 (c'mon, it's your anniversary) there's also the WH Spire in black pearl from A.G. Russell. Similar to the Hawk, but with thumbstud, VG-10 and a clip instead of a sheath. Personally I prefer a sheath over a clip for something fancy, but this is real nice.

Hope AG Russell doesn't mind the photo link:

I bought my Dad a Benchmade carbon fiber scaled 770 Osborne and he loves it!

It's a very classy knife.
