Hey there everybody! Here’s a new tanto I’ve finally finished. Maybe it should be guardless but I just can’t abide a smooth transition from under the handle to the edge, seems dangerous, so I added a “guardy” nub!
Steel is NitroV with professional HT at 60/61, 1/8” x 7/8” blade . Balances at the front pin.
Hand sanded to 1200 grit for a fine satin finish. The edge was about .012” before sharpening.
Dimensions: 11.0” OAL, Tip to Scales 6 1/2”
The handle is Ironwood, heartwood on the ends and sapwood in the middle with 1/8” “tube in tube in tube” copper pins, blue G10 liners. It’s finished to 1200 grit, oiled and waxed.
The premium sheath says “Peace from Strength” in Kanji according to a few translators I checked including the regional communities subforum here at BF.

Only $210 to your US door, and of course your satisfaction is my only priority. Paypal, check or MO, and the price includes fees and free shipping in the US.
Thanks so much for looking and please feel free to ask anything here or via PM.
