Meet newly appointed Himalayan Import Chaplain, Lama Jigme Rinpoche. Pix, story.

Raghorn, your pict attachment reads, siru and m7-- and the photo does not look like a cobra but a sirupati. What?

remind me of bayonet numbers- m7- m14? Is yours authentic? I got mine from CheaperthanSportmansguide and it is made by Eikhorn but does not precisely fit, having some slop about 1/8 to 1/16" corrected by a small chunk of rawhide I fashioned. I wrote Eikhorn about it- never recieved a single response. It appeared to me someone shortened the manufacturing steps by using one length of steel on the inside of all the various US bayonets. But what do I know? I'm not a prestigious German manufacturer that fails to answer mail. On their website are photos of their products- most not for civilian sale, including geniune eikhorn brackets that hold an HK rifle on the wall of a vehicle. The brackets not for sale to us?

if you figure the weight of a bayonet or kabar style knife at around 16 to 18oz, it is not much further to a HI Khukuri that does 10 times more. I have a mil spec army 'fighting knife' whatever that is, whose sole purpose is now holding the Dust Bunnies at bay.

"Get what you need and use it as you must" is probably the initial mantra of any knife ever created.
Thanks to Himalayan Imports for taking this endeavour to stellar heights...
Just saying, but using two of their blades daily makes me very happy !
