Raghorn, your pict attachment reads, siru and m7-- and the photo does not look like a cobra but a sirupati. What?
remind me of bayonet numbers- m7- m14? Is yours authentic? I got mine from CheaperthanSportmansguide and it is made by Eikhorn but does not precisely fit, having some slop about 1/8 to 1/16" corrected by a small chunk of rawhide I fashioned. I wrote Eikhorn about it- never recieved a single response. It appeared to me someone shortened the manufacturing steps by using one length of steel on the inside of all the various US bayonets. But what do I know? I'm not a prestigious German manufacturer that fails to answer mail. On their website are photos of their products- most not for civilian sale, including geniune eikhorn brackets that hold an HK rifle on the wall of a vehicle. The brackets not for sale to us?
if you figure the weight of a bayonet or kabar style knife at around 16 to 18oz, it is not much further to a HI Khukuri that does 10 times more. I have a mil spec army 'fighting knife' whatever that is, whose sole purpose is now holding the Dust Bunnies at bay.
