Any of you folks from the Pagosa Springs or Durango area? I'm headed up that way next week with my wife and kids to chase a few trout. Wouldn't mind a cup of coffee with a knifemaker, or even better, a chance to check out somebody's shop. Anyone from the board in that area?

I used to live in Denver, and for quite some time that was my favorite stomping ground. The Arbor House B&B in South Fork is absolutely fantastic. One of the rooms is themed with vintage fly gear, and right off the back porch is some fun small-water bug chuckin... The owners are one of a kind and they serve an oatmeal/cranberry thing that I'd dang-near drive the 27 hours back just to have again... And if it's still there the Chalet Suisse is stumbling distance from the rooms...

Unfortunately though, all my fly-fishing and knifemaking friends are in Denver... But enjoy the trip. When I retire I plan to plant my feet in the ground back there.

Awesome area Jason. Check out Tucker ponds its over Wolf Creek pass pretty remote but easily accessible .Or if your up to a bit of a hike try the four mile lake trail and Turkey Lake. I lost a 9' custom fly rod made by world famous distance caster "Chugger" after being totally exhausted coming off 4 mile lake trail and leaving it leaning up against my van and driving off :(
