Meeting up with a scammer

Hi there! Long time lurker. I found a guy on letgo who is selling fakes. I messaged him about a Spyderco Police and ZT bundle. He agreed to meet tomorrow afternoon. It's extremely obvious from the pricing and photos that they're counterfeights. How should I approach this? Call the cops? Berate and beat his ass (jk... maybe)? I'm worried that option #1 might not lead to anything since cops around here are "too busy for petty crime". I have my Glock on me so I'm not worried about anything happening. I'm aware that I should probably just leave it alone but I would hate to see the item sold the next day, meaning he scammed someone. He's already sold a few fake bundles. I reported him on the site but it's not going to change a damned thing. Here's a link:

Detangle, make sure you read and abide by what Happy Daddy wrote !! As much as you want to take care of this yourself, your setting yourself up for trouble.
 
Let me get this right: someone's allegedly trying to sell a couple of allegedly copied knives and you can't decide if you want to go there and either beat him up or shoot him if he misbehaves?

And what makes you so certain that they are copies anyway? The looks and the name? Spyderco? The worst he could be accused of is attempting to receive monies under false pretenses, Spyderco is a name, there is not only ONE Smith or David or Jones in the world is there? Who says that the Spyderco name he's using is the Spyderco name you think it is? False pretenses at best for the shape and boxing, nothing more. Yet you're willing to commit anything from abusive language to assault all the way to murder.

One may ask WHO'S worse, you or him? Am I missing something in all this or is it just me?

If you keep going on it, one of two things are certain... you will find what you seek or it will find YOU out.
