This knife is GORGEOUS! I bought it on impulse and it is by far the finest folder I've ever owned. But it's too big for the office & too nice for weekend/"beater" carry. If it were an inch shorter closed I'd never ever part with it. But as it is, I'll move it on to someone else who can appreciate it.
SPECS:
- blade length is 3 1/2in and the overall length is 8 1/4in.
- Damascus blade with dual thumb studs. The thumb studs have been file worked and inlayed with horn matching the handle.
- The bolsters are fluted Damascus, a similar but not identical type to the blade, so there's a nice contrast
- The scales are fluted buffalo horn.
- The liners and liner lock are blue anodized titanium and are fully file worked. - The back strap is file worked on the outside and inside (Mel's mark is on the inside)
- Screws have also been file worked.
There is no "almost" to this knife. Maybe those who regularly collect fine knives would be less amazed than I am, but I can tell you I've been to many knife shows, handled many custom liner-lock knives, and this knife is a standout. It delivers. The only thing I can find to take any issue with is that on the back of the right bolster there is a tiny dark mark (1 mm?) which appears to be a flaw in the damascus & it disappears at certain angles.
Here is a similar knife, although not identical blade shape & the scales are in pearl, on his website:

I would like $$575 for the knife. USPS preferred, but paypal ok if you cover the 3% fee.
Please email/PM me with any questions.
