Melamine 120

Yes Roger I did see that twin set. That would be a fantastic set to have. Now that is rare. It would fit in great with the rest of the ones I have don't you think?

The white melamine knives are near the top of my hunting wish list. They are getting harder to find.

Here are the ones I have so far.

From top to bottom. 102, 118, 119, and 120.

ask and ya shall receive. someone here had to have a lot of them and you're the one.:D beautiful set, Sir. thanks for sharing with us.

Note - The price written on the box on the 118 is $2. If I could only go back in time. Although I think I would stay there. I just looked back at the 1961 catalog in the BCCI website and it has the white melamine 118 listed for $12.00 so the $2 wouldn't be correct.

$2 was probably the price you paid some poor widow at a garage sale... :):):)

gedlicks the most impressive thing about you fabulous collection to me is the dedication and TIME it must have took to acquire them..not just the cost. All the phone calls chasing down leads must be in the hundreds of hours! I remember seeing one of the smaller one's at the Blade Show for sale around 2011 for over $600.00..and a comment by someone I can't remember saying that was cheep lol! Were all NIB when you found them?

Those are so fine! Note to Buck Knives - handles like those would make for a worthy limited run! OH

I've always thought so. I'd love to see someone like Copper & Clad do a Special Factory Order in white phenolic of the 100 series. Could use the same molds as the black phenolic and assembly would be identical. We know there is white phenolic because cue balls are white. Here is what I presume to be a prototype 192 Vangard in white phenolic (or corian?) so Buck has done it in the past. (2nd from front)

Yes the 3 were as shown when I purchased them with their correct sheaths and boxes. Bucksway - I actually don't spend much time on the phone etc looking for the knives I acquire compared to some other collectors. I do keep a pretty good eye on the bay.
Years of the right contacts and being at the right place at the right time has paid off the best.

I was worried.
I had you pegged for a better man than that.
The most valuable thing we have is our reputations.

.....I thought you were just screwing around.
But I had to call it out for the less scrupulous amongst us.

Those really are awesome knives.
I wasn't even aware of them until recently.
Thanks for sharing those.

One of the best things about this forum is the integrity of the participants.
