I agree that this seems to be a general tone, and it needs to change. It's much easier for everyone involved to simply move along or report something than to just post something and have us write an infraction for a "cutsie" type comment. Now, to answer the question, if someone wants to melt knives, you can contact a local company in your area that does some sort of welding, or maybe try a steel scrapyard or a local police department. I'm absolutely certain they would be more than willing to relieve you of anything made of steel you do not want or need. Seems like a perfect waste of a first post.
