So I am a certified Emerson knives nut. I have been spending alot of time searching and looking at all sorts of emerson knives. In my searches I have kept going back to look at Rayster357 pictures. He has a huge collection of EKI and does his own custom scales and mod work. I have been impressed with everything he has done. So while collecting my vault full of emersons I found a traveler posted in the knife exchange, it has Raysters finger prints all over it however it was being sold by another party. Well I bought it and fell in love with it. So I decided to contact Rayster to see if in fact it was his at one time. The traveler was infact his that he sold to the party I bought the knife from. In my discussions with Rayster he was incredibaly helpful, even offered to fix a total "knit pick" of mine for free. Thats not the end, the traveler has a set of micarta scales, he just so happened to have a Zealot (my grail at the time) with the same scales and two tone work. Amazing, he offered to sell it to me. Of course I bought it right away. So he shipped me the knife and it was amazing, he packed it proffesionally and even made sure I got some extras. Not only did he sell me a knife and go out of his way to help me, he also offered advice on other custom mods I was interested in doing myself. So I cant thank him enough. I know he offers scales and custom work for others but I am not advertising for him just giving my expirence with him and the fact that I think he is a great asset to the BF community.

I completely agree with you. Ray is a stand up guy and a class act all the way around. I first met Ray awhile back when he started posting on the Emerson thread pictures of Emersons with cool looking scales. I was finally able to get a hold of him and he told me he was the one who had made the scales himself. We are able to work out a trade as he had been looking for a Steel Flame Crusader clip. He fixed one knife's handle that felt really uncomfortable in the hand. Then he made 2 sets of scales for me. 1 was my M-wave, he made nice thick Jade G-10 scales with a full length glow in the dark back spacer and the other was a set of Blue contoured G-10 scales with a black with blue liners full length back spacer. Ray is full of knowledge when it comes to Emersons as well as other knives. He's also very generous and we have both gifted each other Steel Flame items as well as knives and such. I can't recommend him enough if you need to know something about you Emerson.
