This is my first experience seeing a Fake ZT0350. Crazy really looking. But two giveaway.

1. The pocket clip is painted ZT logo.

2. Look at the pocket clip holes/thread. It is not US inch 2-56 thread. It is larger metric M2.5

hope info helps...

Unfortunately photobucket doesn't show the pics anymore unless you pay them.
Or I believe you can use imgur or Flickr for photo hosting

looks pretty real at any glance.
Yeah I was certain it's real, because I never seen a Chinese ZT350. that's why I am stunned...looks so real, but when I try installing an extra ZT pocket clip I had, the 2-56 screws was too thin, The extra clip I had was from KAI/ZT replacement. So I know the screws is correct. But when I try on this knife, the screws won't catch, too thin. I don't think ZT will change their thread size. Now other than the painted clip, this knife will fool many buyers.

I just took out my older ZT0350 user to compare, one thing I notice that my genuine serial number, is in CAPS...as SER.8887. this one has Ser.6442 (er lowercase) I'm just wondering if that is totally random? If anyone had ZT350 chime in if your serial is all CAP?

On my 0452 it's not in caps.

I know the site that sells this knife. They are $18.15 w/ free shipping. I can't see the serial #
If you buy 10 or more they are much less.

They also carry five other ZT models including the 0999. That one sells for $31.15 Serial # 0002

When you said the logo is painted, were you talking about the logo on your clip? If so, some clips come painted, and others are stamped. The clip looks like a real ZT pocket clip to me.

have to be real careful on amazon. so many counterfeits and fakes. they had to recall and refund most of their solar glasses sold. fakes with no protection. folks would have had their retinas burned watching the eclipse. truth is most of the knife dealers sell at a better price or within a few bucks comparing sales tax. no real reason to use amazon for knives other than faster shipping. those massively cheaper prices are gonna be fakes. amazon has got to get a handle on fakes and counterfeits or they will start to loose sales eventually.

You have no idea how many counterfeit products are sold on Amazon. People relish them. They seek them out there.
Only occasionally does a non suspecting buyer get burned on these items. Then it is near impossible to get Amazon to remove the listings.

The target demo is:
1) ignorant people... If you truly believe that a 500.00 item is selling for 31 dollars then YOU are their target. You will never know that you have a fake.
2) Scammers... The vendors of these fakes are looking for like minded people to buy their products for re-sale in Flea markets, gas stations, schools, ect.

It's a win win for the vendor because an educated buyer won't be in that market.

Report ANY item on amazon, and tell me what result you get! It's business for them as well.
If you think WalMart is bad when it come to company practices... Amazon is Wally's GOD!

As to this threads OP...
You ran into the one type of seller that always gets his arse in a wringer. The fella that tries to sell a fake at real prices. Those guys don't last long... Greed made him target the wrong market/buyers

Most of the members here support the vendors on the forum and the exchange. Amazon and eBay are full of fakes from most. Their are some trustworthy vendors on eBay but for most its unknown who they are so I'd avoid it all together. And even then you may get a fake because bad customers will return fakes instead of the real thing and they go back into stock.

I bought the one I have from a local sporting goods store. I'm not sure who their supplier is, but they had it priced for 139 dollars and came down to 125. It has the painted clip logo and the serial number is spelled Ser.6473

I don't know about the clip holes but another model I seen on ZT website had their example with the stamped logo. Is there anything else I should look for to confirm if it is a legit or faked model?

My 0350 is the standard black coated one that I bought at least 5 years ago if not longer. Says "Ser. ___" instead of "SER. ___" The clip is stamped, not painted.

I own two ZT 0350's [TS & BW models] with the same-type "Ser.____" logos. I've seen the larger 0300-series knives with both logos; on earlier and later production-runs. They even have different lock-bar, over-travel stops on them. As the later production-runs sans the disc. On newer 0350's models; some are painted logos, instead of being engraved. I sent for a replacement-clip from the factory for my knife, and they sent me a newer, painted-version. Most genuine; newer ZT boxes are blue, and have a product bar-code. Inside the box, is a round ZT-stamp with a box number, and has a code reference-year, packaging date on one of the flaps. All ZT's come in a one-piece bubble-wrap envelope, with folded instructions. The screws on the clip should be T-6. Here's a catalog-picture from Grand Prairie Knives, showing your blade:

Below are two pictures of my 0301's with different serial numbering systems. Same knife, different production-runs: earlier and later. Note: the absence of the over-travel disc on the new model in the lower frame.

If you still have serious-doubts contact KAI directly; with pics of your knife, and the serial-number, and your concerns. Your knife seems real, but then I haven't looked at it, nor seen the packaging, or know who you purchased it from.

I can't see your pics, but I do know fake ZT0350s run on bearings and were never built as assisted knives.
Plus those have an internal stop pin and a blackwashed blade.
Post some pics that I could actually see and I will tell you if your knife is fake or genuine.

Hopefully this link will work. This pic shows the clip side of my knife.
