Went in today to renew my GOLD and when looking over the features - Gold/Platinum I read this about the EXCHANGE AREAS -

GOLD - For Sale by Individuals, Reply to WTB

PLATINUM - For Sale by Individual, Trade Forums, WTB

QUESTION - Am I wrong in thinking that I can already participate in this PLATINUM exchange areas with just my GOLD? I have been posting in those areas through the years with no issues. Has the access changed since my last renewal?

What am I missing or misunderstanding here?

Yes, you can post in the same areas.
Platinum offers twice the mailbox capacity, larger avatar, and increased editing capabilities.
 
Thanks - as I thought - but the descriptions, as written are off with the benefits.
