So it appears I'm not going anywhere with regards to this whole hobby of mine. I'm hooked and everything I know (what little there is) is largely due to this forum and the fine folks on it. I want to at least bump myself up to a basic member, but I was also wondering. If I should decide say later on in the year I want to upgrade again to something that would allow my to be a seller in the classified section on here. Would I pay the whole price or so I just pay the difference between what the basic and...whatever membership I upgrade to?

In otherords if I pay say $10 now and want to later on go to platinum Do I pay the full platinum price $55 or whatever it is? Or do I pay $45 (platinum minus the 10 I paid for basic)?
 
I believe as long as your current membership is active, it should just be the difference between levels. I don't know for certain, but I have done this on other subject forums and it worked the same way.

The member ship is prorated. So $50/12 months is $4.16 a month, basic is $10, you're getting 2.5 months extra of Platinum.
 
Just drop for Gold gives you most of the things and if in a year you want more renew at the level you want. I was just going to get basic when I started, but decided that I wanted to support a place like this and did Gold, next year who knows maybe I will feel confident enough to do Knife maker
