memorial weekend plans?

I'm attending a Michigan meet up for another forum on primitive ways. Should be a tonne of fun. I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon.

FISHING Baby!

We usually go for our first camping/fishing trip at our usual lake, but it's still snowed in. So, me, the wife, and my dad are gonna stay at my uncles place a little lower in the mountains and fish a different lake. Can't wait.

Hopefully we can replicate the results of the last time we were there:

Off Friday going to do some work around the farm and maybe go hiking.

Sat we are driving over to OHIO and going to Hookahville for the night so we can see Donna The Buffalo and Gov't Mule play. Then we are leaving early Sunday and driving home thru Charleston to catch some of the Vandalia Gathering which is a gathering of old time mountain musicians on the lawn of the WV State Capitol. Two of my friends are playing the square dance on Sunday there. Then heading home and hopefully hiking and farming at home Sunday evening and Monday. A friend is supposed to come over Monday so I can dehorn one of her baby goats for her and I think she's going on a hike with us.

Sitting on my ass Sunday and Monday. Maybe cleaning up the woods, putting up a new fence in the backyard, cutting grass, lots of swimming in the pool. Steak, burgers, hot dogs.

Saturday I hope to make it out to Frederick MD, and do some wheelin' and dealin' at Edgeworks knife shop. Afterwards, headed out to Washington Monument SP and Antietam SP, take advantage of the 75 degree weather for a good hike.

Working all day Fri-Mon. Awesome.

I am in retail and I usually work the holiday weekend as they are big sale events. However, when the weather is nice, business is usually very slow; so I take off!:D

Anyway, I feel for you bro.

Afterburner action always turns me on ;) I grew up attending EAA every year, now that I live across the country I miss out on alot of awesome aviation action. There's a small warbird exhibit coming to the regional airport here on the 5th of June, definately planning on attending. It's been a year since I've felt the ground shake due to aerial horsepower :D

Four adults and nine scouts will head into the mountains of the Cucamonga Wilderness for our Philmont shake out and to do some peak bagging. I've felt punky all week, sore throat started bad yesterday, damit! I'm gonna take drugs and enjoy every mile of the trip if it kills me.

Same here.

kgd,
See ya there on Saturday morning!! ;) Sorry I gotta work on Friday. I would get there around the time everyone is beddin' down for the night so I'll hit the road early in the AM.

Co-worker just gave me a 6-pk of red stripe for my birthday, so I'll go get the bottles ready for recycling by emptying the contents in the best manner possible. :D

Cheers to our Vets, and all those who died in service to our country and my freedoms.

I sleep soundly in my bed at night, because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would do us harm. Thank you.

Yeah, I run a swimming pool, so when it's too nice to shop, you know where they head.

Let's see....taking advantage of the mid-90's weather by sitting at work...ugh...

me and my ol lady are gonna go camping all weekend at a beach park...should be a good time as long as no one gets punchy and drunk.

Yard work on Saturday to prep for a small party on Sunday. If the hangover isn't overly severe on Monday I'll get our for a short hike...or at least a good long walk.
