Menefee Desk Knife: I've had this one for a long time and it's been in my desk and used for opening envelopes. Not abused in any way but used. It's in good condition.
OAL: about 6.25"
I think the handle is the old Westing House Micarta.
I don't know the steel material.
On the side of the blade with the makers mark there is a spot that is slightly discolored and hard to see unless the lighting is right. At first I thought it was some old oil or maybe wax that needed to be wiped off but it didn't come off. I looked at it with a 10X loupe and it's not corrosion. I don't know what it is or what caused it. Pretty minor but wanted to point that out.
