In appreciation to BladeForums & the Traditional Knives sub forum and its members,I'd like to do a giveaway contest.

This giveaway is open to all members, who post, and or,lurk here.I have been wanting to do this for some time now,it's overdue.

I'll let it run a bit,and your post number is your entry number. You can post a picture,or make a comment about your favorite knife, weather it be built by me,or any other maker or knife company.Outdoors pictures are welcome, too. Please, only one post per person.

I'd appreciate it if you take a few minutes to see the knives I build in my thread.

There is no picture here of the knife I'm going to give away, because it is not built yet. The winner will have a choice of one Menefee Made knife,a single, or double blade shadow pattern slipjoint.Choice of micarta & shield as well. If it is to be a double blade knife,I'll limit it to 2 blades opening on the same side, jacks & trappers. If you prefer a straight hunter knife I'll build that too ,with upgraded handle materials.

After the winner is chosen we'll get together & hash out the details & I'll need about 2 months for a delivery, approximately.

I'll have my wife & daughters figure out a way for a fair draw on the winning number.

I do appreciate it all,the Forum & it's members.
Lets have some fun,
Rick Menefee

Not an entry, Rick, but thank you for the generous offer to the forum members.

Whoa! That is awful generous. I have often looked over your knives and appreciated your work. I look forward to owning one of your knives. Please count me in on this giveaway, and I will gladly take entry number one. I have attached one of my favorite pictures. I took this after a long, cold, wet walk along the North Sea from Stonehaven to Dunottar Caste. The castle sits on the last of the Grampian Mountains in Scotland, literally a peninsula in the North Sea. Little did I know it was closed that day...so, I had the exterior to myself. Still, it made for some dramatic scenery.

Enjoy.

Thanks so much for the chance, Rick. Here is a picture of my cow buffalo I shot near the Red River on the Texas-Arkansas border a couple years back.

We're still enjoying the delicious beef off of her!

Well...I normally like to give others a chance in the giveaways here in the TF but I can't miss out on this one. I'm in, and thanks. Here is a pic when I was 10 or so hunting with my dad. Some of my best memories.

Rick I'd like to thank YOU for your presence here on the forum. I'm sure I speak for many here in Traditional when I say that I couldn't be happier that you've chosen Bladeforums for your online knife spot. I've enjoyed watching your work over the past few years and the Menefee Made knife I own is one that I will always enjoy carrying and using...not that I wouldn't be honored to own another (and I will regardless of the giveaway :D). Thank you for the generous giveaway, please count me in, and keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for the opportunity. If I were to win I would carry it proudly. I have been drooling over your knives since I have been a regular here on the traditional forums. I adore your single bladed knives. Here are a couple pictures from my trip, one with my favorite slippy that came along for my hiking adventure. The pictures were taken in Strathcona Park, in British Columbia, Canada.

Thanks Rick. I've heard good things about your knives and would love to try one out in person.

This was taken a few weeks ago on our camping trip. It was probably a few minutes before my son threw down his pole in the water and started screaming "LEECH!" after a floating stick brushed up against his leg. He's quite the prancer when he is scared.

This was the same trip. Our daughter caught her first fish while fly fishing with my uncle. She insisted on keeping it and then had me cook it up for her. It was about one bite for each person.

Sir I have seen you work and the wonderful pieces that you produce. I would be honored in receiving anything that you create. Please include me in the drawing. Thanks

Rick, thank you for the opportunity at a most generous giveaway. It is no secret that I'm a huge fan of your work, particularly anything with a clip point blade. I echo the comments of some of our Traditional Forum brethren in sincerely thanking you for your continued presence in this forum. The thread on your knives is one I watch religiously, particularly for WIP pictures. Keep up the fantastic work that you do. I'm travelling and posting via an iPhone so I cannot post a picture at the moment, but I promise to come back and add a new picture of my favorite EDC, a Menefee Made Zulu in green canvas micarta.

As promised, a new picture of my favorite EDC.

whoa is right gents, stellar giveaway Rick, thank you for the chance!

My favorite pattern is a jack of some sorts. I keep going back to a Case Barlow, affordable, fun, simple, kinda plain jane I guess, but its old school, kinda like me, lol.

Thanks for the opportunity, Rick. Your work, particularly as seen in the thread in this forum, has been a major inspiriation to me as I move into making slipjoints.

My favorite knives are my dogleg jacks. Case Bose and GEC. Would love to try out a custom version. Very generous with your giveaway and time. Thanks

Rob

Looking way back towards Windy Peak, WA. One of my wife's favorite places to be.

Thanks for the chance, Rick. You are a big part of what makes this place special.

Thats mighty nice of you Rick! Thanks for the chance:thumbup:

Good time to show off this little beauty again. On the days I don't carry it I still pick it up and admire it...everyday. I really love this knife, and thanks again for making it Rick.
