This knife is a hidden tang,"stick tang" construction. About a bakers dozen of this model, were built by Rick in his entire career as a knifemaker,to date. Brand new out of Rick's shop & I doubt he'll fill an order for one like this,so if you like the looks of it,do not hesitate on the "I'll take it".I'd say it's a rare Menefee & a great opportunity here on BF's ,no wait. The feel of it,in hand, well I'll say it's real sweet.SS Guard & butt,1/8" 154 CM ss blade, deep hollow ground ,razor sharp. Outstanding blade profile, grind & drawn swedge.Stag handle, front spacer is Walrus Ivory ,rear spacer oosic, and blue fiber spacers. It's un real. OAL is 7-7/8",the blade length is 3-7/8" from tip to the guard, with a 3-1/4" cutting edge. A right hand Larry Parsons sheath, tooled saddle grade leather completes this set up. This is as good as it gets.

Absolutely stunning!
Bret

Thank You for your comment & interest Bret.

I failed to describe, originally, this is Rick's rendition of the very popular & historical Randall model 8 " Trout & Bird knife"

From the on line Randall catalogue :
" Historical note: Francis G. Powers, U-2 pilot, was carrying a model 8 when he was shot down over Russia in May, 1960."

The profile & grinding of this style, was taught to Rick by his mentor, knifemaker George Englebretsen,RIP . Not a simple one, says Rick & therefore the very limited amount out there that he has built

Thanks for the looks,
-Vince
