C75 carbon steel. That's a European steel spec which is equivalent to 1075 carbon steel

1075 is tougher than 1095 but falls short in edge retention.

Near enough IMO.

I have a 10 inch K Sabatier in xc75 and a number knives in 1095. I don't notice much difference that can't be attributed to the Sabatier being less hard than my 1095 knives.

My K55K holds it's edge on par with my old Schrade USA 1095 blades. I really like it.
