Mercator Otter - now with clip!

I picked this up in Munich about five years ago and have come to love it for a slim, effectiv and not too scary for office people daily carry.
I grew annoyed by the length of the 'bail' the lanyard relies on because it can get in the way of the blade and made a shorter one about a year ago but kept all the original appearances.

I finally yesterday grew tired of that and decided that 150 years of tradition was enough and riveted on a clip for something else (maybe an old gerber?)

Has anybody else modified a traditional knife to suit them better?

A clip is not a change I would add to a traditional knife, but I often mod my knives with nail access cut outs and reshaped blades.

One version of the factory knife comes with a clip these days. I have one. Found it on the bay but Otter lists them on their German website.
