I have a friend who ordered a knife from them 5 months ago. Kept saying it would be delivered, etc, etc. Issues with getting materials, steel. When it finally "shipped" we were training and the postal service sent it back to them, but now they say it's "lost" in the mail and they don't know where it is. The guys at Mercworx say it's coming back to there shop, buy they won't send him a replacement because according to them they just don't have knives laying around everywhere. Unfortunately, I didn't know he ordered from them or I would have warned him. Their knives are alright, but the way they're giving him the runaround is horrible! I'd stay away from dealing directly with the company. I know others have had problems also.

Sorry to hear it. I've been on the receiving end too of the "MW runaround". They have such a good line of BS regarding timing that it's easy to get sucked in.

I would only purchase Mercworx knives from a dealer that had them in stock, or from someone on this forum selling one. There have been far too many reports from people that have been given the runaround by Mercworx to consider purchasing directly from the company.

Absolutely!! Definitely good advice to buy from a stocking dealer.

Was looking to get one, but if they give you the run around on a knife can they be trusted to make the knife "good" proper heat treat etc?
