Mercworx? Sniper.....Opinions is there better?

Pick up a Busse HellRazor from the Exchange. Busse knives are extreme duty blades for sure.

Hey there, since you've gotthe urge to check out other knives, before you buy don't forget to have a look at Emerson. Their FB's are limited but as far as folders go you can't go wrong. They are built solid and Ernie is a great guy who stands behing his product and the people that use them. Good luck to you and stay safe.

Well I'm not gonna sit hear and say I'm delta force or anything. But I've been in the 10th Mtn. Light Infantry for about 5 years. Done a few combat tours and in my personal experiance a sniper is WAY to big to carry around or use for anything other than KNIFE FIGHTING. Don't get me wrong I always carry a fixed blade but I think an old scholl kabar is to big. I had a marine lt. buddy with us on my last tour and he carried a sniper. Very nice knife but like I said just to damn big to be practical. In modern combat a knife is a tool and VERY VERY rarely a weapon. I would look into a mid sized like a Bark river sandstorm, or bark river bravo 1 (my favorite personally) or fallkniven S1 or busse badger attack all very nice knives and in my opinion perfectly sized because they can still be used as tools or a weapon if need be. Also consider this if you are going to stab someone it's because your primary weapon went down and your going to need it in a hurry. So I think you've got the right idea mounting it on your vest. Now imagine mounting a sniper on your vest :thumbdn: just my opinion I would consider something more midsized for a combat knife.

Check out the Entrek Merc or others in the Entrek line Most are 440C scary sharp out of the box excellently checkered micarta handles and if u shop* around you can get em around half their retail price

Had a merc werx and it was a nice knife but I sold it even with the chili handle I think for the money there is better. I mostly carry customs but I have been carrying a Busse HellRazor and I love it lighter than the sniper and I believe better steel. Plus great resale I am very impressed with Hell
Razors and I think you will be also sounds like the perfect knife for you
Here is one of mine I can not stop buying them

I have a busse comp edge hellrazor also and have used it hard.
The only damage I have had is that the very thin tip rolled over and I had to grind abit off the top with a bench grinder.

I have it set up in a spec-ops basic molle sheath with a maxpedition cacoon pouch on the outside, a perfect set up.

I doubt anyones opinion matters now, since this thread was posted in January.
