The reviews I read on the EL-01 sounded good, but not familiar with this model. Do you think this one is a little slimmer profile than the El-01, yet still be decent for sturdiness?

Despite being similar overall length, it is much more comfortable in the pocket and its much refined in appearance. While the liner is very slightly thinner, I can't see why it wouldn't be almost as strong. The EL-06 also has dual SS liners.
