This is taken from the news area on Howard Korn's KnifeCenter of the Internet:

September 22 LATEST :

RUMOR: What Oregon based tactical knife co.
is thinking about joining up with the
grand-daddy knife company from El Cajon?
We'll see!


I offer no comment other than noting that Benchmade seems to be having production problems of late... meaning getting stuff shipped.

This caught me quite by surprise and I have no idea if there is even a tiny bit of reality here.

This rumour was circulating some 6 months ago. I don't know if there is any truth at
all to this.

I have knives by both Buck and Benchmade. All are high quality. A merger wouldn't bother me one bit.

Does "joining up" necessarily mean a merger? As opposed to some kind of design and manufacturing collaboration?
