Merit abrasives? PVC spacer material?

I'm looking over my options for abrasives at true grit. They sell belts (haven't checked the psa disks yet) in my size by a company called Merit. I still have a lot of research to do for the products by Norton and 3M. Can anyone tell me about the Merit products and how/if they compare to the more expensive brands?

Also, while there, I looked at their spacer/liner material thinking they'd have g10 and maybe vulcanized fiber. Instead, they have sheets of pvc and high impact styrene.

I picked up a few merit 50 grit ceramic and was not impressed. There cheap but I wouldn't buy them again. As far PVC I don't think I got that to stick to the G-Flex and and micarta if I remember correctly. Do they have VSM in the size you need ? I like the way the VSM finishes but it doesn't last all that long but its better than merit. Hope this helps.

Thanks man. I'll steer clear and pony up. They don't have VSM, no. I'll keep my eyes open for them though.
