Merlin Question

I have been carring a a Merlin/Harpy for about 10 years now and for it's size it is an excelent knife. If you cut anything involving fiberous materials like rope, carpet or even linolium it is hard to beat. I have used mine on everything from 11mm climbing rope to seatbelts and it has never failed me.

The Zytel handled Merlin runs $35-45(but it has been awhile since I bought one). The best prices I have found on Harpys are $71 for the G10 version @ ABC-direct.com and $55 for the SST @ discountfirearms.com

Best of luck!

I have a Merlin question...where can I find one? The Harpy is just a bit too dear. I`d love to find a reasonably priced Zytel handled Merlin someplace. Any ideas?

The <a href="HTTP://store.knifecenter.com/pgi-Product%20Spec?SP21SBK">KnifeCenter</a> has them for $49.95.

Tonight one of the Sisterhood ladies helping in the kitchen at our congregation asked me, "Do you have anything good for cutting up the bunch of grapes for serving?"

Merlin!

James, between the bread/knife picture and this one, you're sort of cutting out a new career in advertising (pun intended) for Spyderco ! Joyce, this sort of slant would look good in ANY magazine ! How about a Military with a roast chicken or a Moran with a pot roast?

Brian - I think the Military would be the knife to be pictured with a juicy rib-eye steak

Mmmmmmm boy!

I was never in the officer's mess, butt more realistic might be an overdone porkchop (serrated edge), or maybe separating whatever matter that SOS consisted of (plain edge).
