MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL HERE IN THE PORCH

Thanks for all the well wishes concerning Joys surgery! This is one she is looking forward to, she definitely wants rid of this ostomy. She had it put in temporarily because she was going through radiation "back there". We have many blessings to be counted as she is walking better and better and soon won't need to use a walker or wheelchair. Hard year for her with developing guillain barre syndrome and finding cancer in the process. But every day she shows miracles do happen as she is WALKING proof, she constantly astonishes the doctors and therapists with her progress! She is my hero and the strongest person I know. She is amazed by all the support she gets from the porch! I told her just think babe, people all over America, Canada, England,Australia, New Zealand, Europe are pulling for you! We are humbled and want to say we love you guys and gals and sincerely pray good health and happiness for all of you!

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

I want to share something about my Christmas so far.

My wife Joy has surgery tomorrow to reverse her ostomy, so I had to work today because the animals cant go 2 whole days in this cold. For those who doesn't know I work part time taking care of a small farm for a disabled lady. So there I was in a barn on Christmas day, surrounded by animals going about their lives. Then it struck me, Jesus spent HIS first Christmas in a barn surrounded by animals going about their business. So I stood there and I could imagine how alone and scared Joseph and Mary was in a strange place with a newborn child. Born in the lowliest of places, to be the Savior of all mankind. Jesus slept for his first time in this world in such as this is very humbling. View attachment 2026477

Thanks for sharing a moment that just spoke to you where you found yourself and about our Savior, wishing her smooth recovery from her procedure, she is a trooper and a fighter and have a wonderful Christmas.

Sorry i’m late to the party. I’m rather new to the forums, but this Traditional section has given me a welcoming home. Thank you to the mods and those who share their stories and knives with us daily. This Christmas season has been difficult on my family because this was our first christmas without my grandfather who was the rock of our family. It gives me peace to know he is with the Lord in his eternal home now. I am more thankful than ever for this holiday because it allowed us give thanks for our blessings through giving and fellowship. I pray y’all were blessed as I was yesterday. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
