I came across a great deal on a mill. I picked up this clausing mill for $500. It came with the industrial vise, and was owned by a machine shop. The friend I bought it from is the machine maintenance guy there, and he rebuilds mills all the time. Even though this mill is old (even older than me), it is in very good shape. Everything is tight and smooth. He takes meticulous care of the machines there. I can't wait to mill something. I am waiting on a shipment of #2mt collets.

Here it is.

Thanks. Fortunately, I have already bought christmas presents for my wife and kids before buying the mill.

Sweet! Is that one of the little ones that runs on 110? I've long thought they might be the
ultimate mill for those of us with small shops.

Thats sweet Matt. We all need at least one mill in the shop.

I was going to wish you a happy holiday, but I see it already is, Fred

Thanks guys and yes, it is 110. When I turn it on it is about silent. It just runs so smooth. 8520 it is.

That is an an awesome Christmas present!! I just so happen to have one of those myself. I picked mine up from a guy in Orchard Park however, the price was not even close to $500!! You made an awesome score! I am just getting started with knife making and am located in Lockport, NY. Is there a western NY knife makers forum or local gatherings? I also teach students in middle school, except I am in the art room. Awesome website by the way.

Merry Christmas,
Brad

Thanks Brad. I am not sure about the WNY forum, but I am just about an hour or an hour and a half away. You could stop by over one of the breaks, and we can put a knife together.

Matt, That would be awesome!! I would love to discuss further, is your email on your website the best way to reach you? I will email you after in a few days after the madness of Christmas ends. Thanks in advance for the help!!

Brad
