Well, its 1.27 am Thursday Morning here Folks.... New Zealand is the first to see the light in the world, and I am sitting here still making silly labels for the presents - then I will hit the hay
Christmas... a crazy, stressful, full on part of the year - but I wouldnt change it for the world, its a time that effects me a lot, for many reasons good and sad, I get to see my great friends, be with my beautiful family, to visit friends - we hug each other, and we sit down and just soak up the atmosphere of life-long friends sitting and enjoying each others company - for a time where nothing is calling us away - we can just truly enjoy....
Its also a time where I miss my Brother incredibly, Andrew - he was nearly 5 years older than me - hes been gone a long time now, but still the tears well up in my eyes when I think of him
, also - it was also only 5 years ago nearly to this day when I lost my best friend in a motorbike accident - he passed away while I held his hand - both these guys were just great people - one of life's true tragedy's to have lost them - but we all have a sad tale to tell - so to me its just as important for a time for reflection and fond remembrance.
I also relish being part of this fantastic Family - I hope I dont sound silly, but I really treasure this place - because of the people here whom frequent the Traditionals and make it a warm and inviting place to be when you need to get your daily dosage of knives.
So to you my friends...please have a Merry Christmas - most importantly have a very safe one and a healthy one, and thank you for this place that we all are, I hope theres a place on the Porch for me.
Have a wonderful holiday and time with your friends and family.
