Merry Christmas! What Knives Did You Give?

None. Nobody else in my gift giving circle has any interest in blades. My dad carries a pocket knife, but he won't carry another one cause he's happy with what he has, same with my nephew.

Made a bold move and put a pink SAK in my wife's stocking. Miniature blade, nail file, scissors, tooth pick and tweezers. Will fit in the smallest of purses. She seemed to like it. It'll be a joy if I see her take it out some random day to use...TBD

Found out our pastor was into guns, knives, and outdoor gear. Gave him my Byrd FRN Robin that I got last week. He seemed to enjoy it.

That flag scrap yard is sweet!!!!

Gave this one to a family member this year. Shun kitchen knife. They aren't knife people so, short of giving them a lecture, I strongly advised against putting it in the dishwasher. We'll see what it looks like next time I go down there. LOL

I gave a Spyderco Tenacious to someone who was asking about what kind of knives I carry. This is a person I turned on to sharpening by letting him borrow my books and dvds. I also gave him some strops. I bought a Tenacious for myself as well. I carry ZT knives but I didn't want to sticker shock him.

Got my brother a Gerber suspension. I would have gotten him a leatherman if I was smart and hadn't waited until the last minute....

Gave a few knives this Christmas to family and friends. Some nice kershaws to a few folks and a couple Ontario rat 1/2's. I'm the only "knife guy" in the family but all recipients loved them. Bought me a 2nd PM2 also. :)

Gave my great nephew a commemorative edition Buck 110 and gave a new friend (and bass teacher) a Vic Ambassador, both seemed quite happy.

I gave my son a Blue Kershaw Blur and a Kershaw storage bag, my nephew a Kershaw Camp 18, another nephew a Kershaw Link, a friend received a Kabar Dog's Head Copper Barlow, another friend got a Deejo custom large folder with his name "tattooed" on it, and my youngest granddaughter received a JK Handmade Small Simple Scandi as she wanted a "sheaf knife" for when we are hiking in the woods. ;^)

On the receiving end, I myself received a Kabar Dog's Head Copper Barlow (got them on the BOGO deal - so I gave one to the wife to put under the tree), a Spyderco Bill Moran fixed blade, a Korbel advertising gentleman's knife from Sweden (nice little knife), a Trestle Pine Ash Superior, the 2015 forum knife (love that one!! - epic) and finally, I ordered myself a battle grade AK from the Busse offering.

My wife received a very nice Spyderco Santuko - first Spyderco I remember seeing that does not have a Spyderhole.

I gave three co-workers opiniel #7's my nephew a rat model 2 and my wife a #25 little jack which she uses all the time now.

Gave family and friends 4 Leatherman Squirt's
2 Kershaw Oso Sweet's
Also gave 4 Nightcore tubes

Got a really nice Buck 111 Classic from my Pops!

I gave my son a GEC Yankee Jack in knifebrite acrylic, gave one nephew a Rough Rider Copperhead in Amber smooth bone, and the other nephew a Rough Rider Trapper in smooth tobacco bone. All were very pleased with their new blades. I had the fun of watching them open them!

I gave a knife this year! I generally don't since I'm the stand alone knife guy in the family.

My dad's not a big knife guy, but does carry one on occasion. I brought an Orange Kershaw Leek with me to their house on Christmas Eve to help with opening gifts and whatnot. He commented on how nice it was and how much he liked the assisted flipper mechanism. It's his now. Love an impromptu gift opportunity.

Gotta buy another Leek now though.

My wife gave me a stainless dragonfly 2. A little heavy, but very nice. First time she's given me a knife. Hope it trends.

Gave my wife a SAK Tomo in mint green. She's not crazy about knives, but she absolutely loves the Tomo.

Gave a buddy a Cryo 2 and he loves it, the assisted action is one of those things non-knife people geek out over. Gave another buddy a Spyderco Tenacious, he's more of a knife guy so I went with something less wow and more performance.

Ran both through the Sharpmaker before I gifted them and warned them to watch their fingers, hah!

I gave my adult son an LT Wright GNS with saber grind. Not something I'd have bought myself.
