My traditional present opening knife is this Gerber Silver Knight, gifted to me by Ed J (TLARbb forum name).

this one arrived in the nick of time. opened it 30 minutes ago, a cpm154 Schatt and morgan stag clip last knife purchase for the year

Will be breaking out last years gift as it's so appropriate with "Christmas Story" playing non-stop on TV.

No new knife this year.
I used my Colt canoe (carbon steel blades) to open a Geo. Foreman type grill he got me. He had taken the new fridge for the truck out of the box before he came to the truck stop. Old fridge died)
Used the punch on my Ulster scout knife to remove the under cap seal on a bottle of anti-jell fuel additive.
So far, that's about it.

No knife under the tree, but one en route and a rope knife will follow asap.
I use a fishtail to open boxes and cut paper. That slim blade cuts like a razor.

Been carrying this Case 06247PEN today and will tomorrow. Not new, I've had it awhile and it's a good bow and ribbon cutter. Merry Christmas! OH

It's been quite a while since I purchased a knife.

I've sold off a few of my favorites (most of my nice ones, in fact). Taxes, bills, buying a house.

I may have an axe under the tree tomorrow but I don't think I'll have any knives.

I'll be carrying this set tonight and tomorrow.

Well, now. Somebody did not look to see what forum this thread is in. Modified the title to clarify.

We did Christmas today due to family schedule, and I had (and used a lot!) my SAK electrician.

I got this Adolf Blaich stockman.
Merry Christmas everyone.

I would be surprised if there is a new knife for me on Xmas. I did get an RR Improved Muskrat last week, and there are a coupe more Rough Riders coming next week.

MY kids and step-kids will be getting a lot of knives: several Kudus, a few Higonokamis, a few Rough Riders, a Buck stockman, a Winchester folding hunter, a Kershaw flipper and a Kutmaster "Hog Knife" lockback sodbuster in yellow delrin. The kids who get a Kudu will also get a Band-Aid.
