I have 10 blocks of some of the best figured Mesquite Burl from West Texas for sale. These are were the better pieces from a trade that I did a while ago with another maker and as much as I like it, I will not use it all any time soon. Each block has been measured on its narrowest, shortest and thinnest sides. These are heavy and dense and look more like amboyna than mesquite. All blocks are SOLID WITHOUT VOIDS except block #11 which has a small void on the edge ( 1/2 x 1/8 and about 1/8 deep)

Thanks bassinhuntin, this mesquite sure is in the upper echelon of the species. It is undoubtedly better in person than in these overexposed shots.
