Message from Tim Wegner, Re: Spyderco/Wegner Clipit: Hunter or Tactical Knife?

The Wenger was the first "new tech" knife I ever purchased. It was a mistake. It spoiled me for the rest. I have 3 now and every time I pick one up, I'm always amazed at how smooth and solid the knife is. As a previous poster said, it locks up like a bank vault.

As a hunting knife, I don't think there is a much better all-around blade design but I would love to buy fixed blade Wenger. This would be a fixed blade to die for although if you take out the hole, it wouldn't be quite the same.

And although I'm not really tactical-minded, it's nice to know I can use it to scare away the bad guys.

Thanks Tim and Spyderco for a great, great, knife!

I agree HooDoo, a fixed blade Wegner would be great. As a matter of fact, wasn't Tim Wegner working on a fixed blade design of this knife? I am not sure who was going to produce it, but I would like to know more.

I'm on the list for a talonite fixed-blade Pro Hunter. Jumped on that one as soon as it was even a rumor. Contact Tim.
