Hi Ernest,

What would you think about a titanium framelock (a la Comrade) for a CQC-8 pattern?

Anyone else want to see the fabled CQC-8 in ti framelock? Ernest's work with the Comrade and HD7 are superb, some of the best folders on the planet.

Count me in as your first order.

I would like to see the 8 as a framelock, but considering the 12 and HD7 are being phased out I think the chances may be pretty slim.

More Frame-locks Please!!!
A Super Karambit done up with a frame-lock would kick ass.

Just get Ferr'k or STR to do convert it!

Extra cost over what a production model would be, and annoying for out of USA sales, which are a significant part of Emerson's business I'd imagine. Cross-border shipping of knives is annoying, so the extra crossing is nice to avoid.

Oh my gosh, I was just thinking about this earlier today!! I would love to have a factory made CQC-8 framelock!

As much as id like to see all of the Emerson range in frame locks its NOT going to happen.:grumpy::rolleyes:
The best you will get now is a converted knife.
That is no bad thing though as there is a few people who do excellent work.

sounds like a good idea but i'd as soon they just continue making the '12 FWIW.

and i'd also like to date heather locklear.

-0- chances of any of it happening though lol.

I like you guys a lot, but I've got a saying that you should "Never take a NO from someone who can't give you a YES". :)

This my sound nutz.I have an HD-7, BUT, I miss the Balance of my CQC-7. I just might have to get another. With a TKG, of course.

Why was the 12 pulled? Anyone know?

from what i understand he disco'd both the framelocks (HD7 & CQC12) due to the cost of ti getting so high & (mostly i think) due to poor sales.

they both were pretty high dollar, certainly not an entry level knife, & while i think a lotta the more knife savvy emerson afficianados(like us, but a small % of consumers) liked them and understood why they cost more than the std liner lock EKI's the normal consumer(not like us but by far the largest % of consumers)who griped&balked at how much the std liner lock models cost just couldnt comprehend why these 2 cost what they did, and thus they didnt sell well.

i personally think its a mistake, and he should at least have limited # runs of each, but what do i know?

More bucks---more knives! :)

yep, & guns, and i would love one of the new 600+ HP ZR1 corvettes (no ferraris i'm a cheap date lol), and start collecting rolex watches, and..............................

& i've always thought heather was hot, but i saw a pic in the national enquirer a while back and she had aged a bit, still ok though but not like 20 yrs ago, .
