Message to Ernest Emerson: Ti framelock CQC-8, please?

It seems like an odd call, because they're not that expensive compared to other production ti framelocks out there...

from what i understand he disco'd both the framelocks (HD7 & CQC12) due to the cost of ti getting so high & (mostly i think) due to poor sales.

they both were pretty high dollar, certainly not an entry level knife, & while i think a lotta the more knife savvy emerson afficianados(like us, but a small % of consumers) liked them and understood why they cost more than the std liner lock EKI's the normal consumer(not like us but by far the largest % of consumers)who griped&balked at how much the std liner lock models cost just couldnt comprehend why these 2 cost what they did, and thus they didnt sell well.

i personally think its a mistake, and he should at least have limited # runs of each, but what do i know?

You aint kiddin man :D

It will also be going to Tom K as soon as its back from STR ;)

I would like to hear the answer from the Horse, himself!

IIRC ernie posted on the "other forum" that he disco'd them due to the price of ti andf poor sales.

and really, think about it, unless something is regulated outta existance (ie made illegal) if there is a demand for a product and it sells well & there is enough demand that it would be fine with a price increase to cover materials (if thats the case) it would be imho bad business not to keep making it, evidently they just didnt sell well.

& yes haze, you are correct, for whatever reason they dont post here unless its to announce they will be at this show or that show, and to advertise stuff.

he does post on the "other forum" ya know what i'm speaking of, right?? if not PM me and i'll send ya a link to it, and no its not the EKI forum.
