Ok, its not messy.. but, the name was too perfect for a nesmuk style blade
This ones been kicking around for a little while..
spec's
1084 and tan/brown micarta with nickle silver pins and a stainless thong hole.
The handle is sanded to a lower grit so that it will have some purchase when wet..
blade finish is a satin 400grit with a honed and mirrored convex edge that is pretty wicked sharp..
size
over all length, just under 9"
blade 4 3/4" long, 11/4" wide at the bulge, and 3/16"thick at the handle, with a taper to the tip.
handle is 4 3/8" long
I love this style of knife.. awesome for food prep and general bush craft.. The handle on this one is pretty freakin comfortable to boot
Price: Sold, another 40 gets a sheath out of kydex, or 50 for a hand stitched and stained leather one.
This will be a great long time user knife, not a safe queen.
