metal capsule uses?

Just a quick question. What do you guys use the little metal capsules for? I have one but haven't used it for anything. It just doesn't seem large enough to use for much.

I'm just curious.

i have a little pill capsule that i tie to my firesteel that has some PJCB in it.

i wouldn't mind getting some spy capsules, but i'm fine with the walmart pill capsule.
 
Well besides a ferro-rod and a SAK Classic i carry one of those Peanut lighters on my keychain along with two of those small spycapsules.
One is filled with cotton/petroleum jelly mix the other is filled with lighter fluid to refill the peanut lighter.
I've been carrying all the above on a keychain for close to a year with no lighter fluid leakage problems from the lighter or the spycapsule.
 
I have afew of the Oddities Spy capsules.
I keep one on my keys with a rolled up banknote inside it. IF Im honest, the value of the note depends on how broke I am! It was £20 to start with, but at present its £10.

I also keep a capsule on the split ring of my SAK Handyman, this contains some vaseline/cotton & is accompanied by a small firesteel & fauxton on the ring.
 
I keep my password to my bank deposit box in Zurich, Along with some cyanide capsules and a small diamond to use as currancy........

I keep aspirin in the blue one, and Aleve in the red. I`m old and need my painkillers.

The spy capsule is what I was referring to. Sorry I didn't post a pic Dougo, looks like there are several pictures of them here now though.

I had thought about meds of some sort. Just seems like it would only hold a few. I can see how the petroleum jelly cotton balls (PGCB?) would be handy for a compact fire kit using one of these. I may try that.

I'm sure it seems like a dumb question. It's just that the capsule is so small it didn't seem of much real use.

SAme here - capsule was always far to small for my tastes.
I have no need for it to store money since all notes in Australia are plastic and I dont take medication and it was too small to carry a good amount of tinder.
But good enough for some emergency tinder though.
 
I have aspirin/tylenol/advil in one (depends on which one you open) and then I have some water purification tabs in another.
 
I have a large capsule with Tums (used frequently), a small one with Tylenol (used rarely), and another small one with one pill for my mid-afternoon dose.

These are on a large split ring along with a Vic. Classic, ResQMe, Fox 40, Atwood Prybaby, and AAA LED light. So the spy capsules are bulky but not the weightiest items there.

You can get spy capsules in different sizes and even with a plastic liner if you don't want your meds sitting in a metal tube.

John, that keychain knife should be a required item in all of our pockets.
Great design. Love the sheath.

Ok...now that we've covered that, where are they found? I am sure I could put them to use.
 
I got mine free with an order from EDCdepot.com

I'm not one to turn down free stuff, I just couldn't come up with a good use for it.
