Metal Cutting Bandsaws Again and Again

I said a couple of times I would show how I made the HF bandsaw a vertical, finally took some pics. here are the pics, 1 whole mount, 2 mounting bracket, 3 switch and motor mount

Thanks for posting the pictures. Opens up a lot of ideas and possibilities.

Nice work table upgrade. Did you do anything special to support the extra weight?
I have the Jet model and the table support bracket is pretty weak.

I have not yet added more support to the table, I did put a 1/8 plate of steel on the surface. I dont do any really heavy cutting but it could use a little more support. The plate of steel removes all the flex of the sheet metal table which helps alot.

Thanks Patrick, that helps. I like the fact that you also reduced the blade hole as well.
Seems like small pieces are always falling into the lower guides on mine.

Putting the plate on top allowed me to close that large hole. I just made two cuts with the bandsaw and there is plenty of clearance. Works really well on folder part that can be small.
