Metal Scales Texturing Ideas?

Hi all,

I have a Kershaw Leek with the SS scales. Given the lack of aftermarket scales for these, I was wondering if anyone had textured the factory scales? I was thinking perhaps one could machine a texture into the scales? Perhaps there is some other process I could undertake on these?

Any thoughts?

Thanks all and God bless you!

A $15 electric engraving pencil along with some practice on scrap metal, will allow you to put a sandpaper-like texture on your handles.
