Metallurgists

Very interesting. I read that blacksmiths were thought to be wizards or something because they created weapons and other things. Their shops were set up far away from the villages they served because people were afraid of their powers.

I thought I was a metallurgist, until I mete one. :)

Breaking news: archeologists have determined that, in ancient times, herbalists and shamans who could heal the sick weren't slaves and shutouts, they were actually respected members of society! Wow, who would have thought!

Too many historical narratives operate on the premise that everyone in the past was either a peasant or slave, unless they were royalty. It humored me when the realm of history was shocked to discover that the damn pyramids of Giza were made by -imagine!- skilled, respected, well-fed craftsmen.
