You could always use the temp controller I gave you and wire it into the oven/toaster.
Wil Hurley has one and it was discussed here...
And maybe add a little insulating kaowool to keep the heat...

The B&D that I just bought works real well as long as I don't need to go over 400 degrees. Its also a convection oven and that may even improve its performance but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. Trying to get some knives together. I'm going to hold onto the second hand oven. I tried it with just the broiler on and it held 425 alost perfectly. When I get sometime I'll check into the controller link you sent.
 
I picked up a $18.88 Sunbeam brand toaster oven from Wal-Mart and a $4.00 oven thermometer. I get a fluctuation of about 15 dgrees with this set up. Tried it on 2 blades and it worked out fine. The oven goes up to 500 degrees.
