I am ready to start on my new project of making micarta or wood scales for my Benchmade 520. The only thing I am weary of is properly setting the tiny little black nuts into the material. It seems that Benchmade pretty much press fits them into place on materials like aluminum and g10, but on softer materials like wood, I can't imagine that being sufficient in holding the nuts still. Advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

How about a small end mill to cut a perfectly flat bottomed hole at whatever depth the nut is? You could do it with a drill press i think without much problem.
