Greetings All. Thought you would like to know that one of your most passionate followers has passed on (July 12). I am his sister and checking in here to get info re his collection. I'm fascinated! Learning more about my brother's passions than I ever knew. Thanks to all of you for fueling his most creative side. Expect I may be lurking/posting as I work through this vast collection in front of me. Though now I'm feeling lust in my heart for these beautiful knives! Think I need to hold them all for a while before they move on... Thanks again.

I’m sorry for your loss. I bought a few busses from him over the years. He was always a stand up guy and very fair. If you need help identifying anything i would be more than happy to help.

Thank you Twiztids4. I may do that. I'm in E TN and have been referred to a local "expert" where I plan to start... assuming my new lust passes in time : )

Oh no, he was a very valued friend of mine much much more than a customer or fellow collector.

If I can help in any way please e-mail or message me.

Man I am floored .

He was a good one...I can remember a few of his posts and pictures...sorry for your loss...

I live in middle TN myself and would be glad to help out if needed.

Most any of the regulars will do the same...just the best kind of folk here-- knife-folk. :)

I'm sorry for your loss. If you decide to part with some of his knives, and you join Bladeforums at the Gold level, you can then post in this forum AND ask for value estimates. Several of us helped another gal recently in this way who lost her father. Posting photos would help us identify the knives, their condition, and value. Using and collecting Busse knives is a passion for most of us in this forum, so please let us know if we can help. Take care, and enjoy those knives!

So sorry to hear this—Great Guy. Thanks for letting us know, and we’re here to help if you need anything.

Oh man, that’s terrible news! :( Very sorry to hear that, you and your family have my deepest condolences.

We are here to help however we can! RIP to an OG HOG!!! :(

That's great to know. Thank you so much all of you. And for the record, he was a great guy! Too honest for his own good sometimes, a rare trait I find. I'm enjoying learning about his most favorite makers and will take time to digest the nature of knife lust. I too live outdoors as much as possible personally and professionally and see that quality tools of quality are a pleasure and a joy. Happy to find that this craft is so alive.

Thanks Again.

Awesome! Thank you! He was an engineer as well. He left brain, me right brain. He always made sure little Sis had a sharp knife.

Deepest sympathies for your loss. Good guy.

I highly recommend seeking values here, and then posting for sale in the open. There are some who will contact you with low-ball offers. The collective group here will give you honest info and probably buy some. We did that with a lady with her father's knives, as mentioned above.

Thank you. That's very kind of you. You all were his family. And thanks for that!

Since I feel I have accumulated enough physical crap on this planet I prefer consumable gifts lately. Tequila and hot sauce are at the top of the list.

Sorry for your loss does not cut it, and based on the feedback he was a great guy and asset to the forum.

As others have said, and you as well - don't rush to sell, gather info as you suggest and take it from there.

All the best as you grieve and celebrate your brother's life on earth.

Thanks again. No grieving here. He had his life of choice. Happy for him.
