Micarta bubbles..

When sanding my maroon linen micarta handle, it looks like there are bubbles in some spots. You can see them on the left side, below the pin and to the right of the pin. What is causing this?

If your rough grinding to shape, it could be getting to warm. I've had that happen and it seemed to be more prevelant with linen than the others. If your not grinding the initial profiles, then I am not sure what else could be causing the problem. A super glue finish will fix it. Terry

Yes...I agree with the heat. I never liked working with linen micarta in colors other than black.
