G10 offers a (slightly) lighter weight, but looks "plasticky" when it is not well-textured... linen micarta, most peoples' preference, is easier to shape, looks better (layers visible when handle is contoured), and when bead-blasted starts to get more grippy although starts to lose its fancy looks... canvas micarta doesn't look like linen... and is often textured for grip, kinda like G10 in many cases, although as the others above said, not quite as tough. All are good in that clothing does not get hung up on the material, allowing for quick draws... if carry/concealment/SD is a factor for you. Overall, straight-up looks, go linen mic; matte-style looks and more grip, go beadblasted linen; need even more textured grip, canvas; straight-up durability and light weight, G10... note that in most applications G10 comes in thin slabs... price rises dramatically if it's a block. Micarta is plentiful and affordable.
